Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Base Pay $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented SMT Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and monitor automated surface mount technology (SMT) equipment used to place small electronic components onto printed circuit boards.

What You'll Do


  • Set up, operate, and make adjustments to automated SMT pick-and-place machines

  • Monitor equipment to ensure machines are operating properly

  • Accurately identify and select components with similar part numbers

  • Perform small-component hand assembly using a microscope

  • Follow work instructions, setup sheets, routers, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)

  • Perform quality checks and follow established quality standards

  • Identify and report concerns or potential errors before they become larger problems

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation

  • Properly handle non-conforming products

  • Work with team members across departments and provide assistance or training when needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned


What We're Looking For


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

  • Experience operating computer-controlled machinery or strong computer skills

  • Familiarity with soldering is a plus

  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and BOMs

  • Excellent attention to detail- especially when working with similar part numbers

  • Comfortable using computers and equipment interfaces

  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team

  • Willingness to speak up when something doesn't look right and help prevent mistakes

  • Reliable and punctual attendance


Physical Requirements


  • Primarily standing and walking throughout the shift

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly work

  • Ability to work with a microscope

  • Close and color vision required

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds

  • Moderate noise and minimal fumes in the work environment
