Job summary

LI-COR in Bourne, MA is seeking a motivated PCB Manufacturing Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team on 2nd shift. You will operate automated PCB manufacturing equipment, load components, and support NPI and improvements.

The role includes setting up machines, performing quality checks, following procedures, maintaining safety and 5S, and assisting with process improvements. On-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

2nd shift M-Th 3pm - 12am Fri 12pm - 6pm

We're looking for a PCB Manufacturing Operator to join our growing electronics manufacturing team. Whether you have experience operating automated manufacturing equipment, working in electronics, CNC machining, medical device manufacturing, aerospace, or another technical manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

Previous SMT (Surface Mount Technology) experience is preferred—but not required.

We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and external training opportunities for motivated individuals with strong technical aptitude.

What You’ll Do

As a PCB Manufacturing Operator, you'll operate and support automated equipment used to manufacture high-quality printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and monitor automated PCB manufacturing equipment
  • Set up machines and perform product changeovers
  • Load electronic components and production materials
  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Maintain ESD, safety, and quality standards
  • Assist with new product introductions (NPI) and process improvements
  • Help maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Manufacturing experience in electronics, automation, medical devices, aerospace, industrial equipment, plastics, or similar industries
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow manufacturing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Bonus Skills
  • SMT equipment experience
  • PCB assembly experience
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 familiarity
  • Electronics manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Manual dexterity for handling small electronic components
  • Good vision for detailed inspection work
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
