Job summary

Insituform Technologies LLC, an Azuria Water Solutions company, is seeking Construction Technicians – CIPP Laborers in Houston, TX. The role involves installing cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) for municipal, industrial, storm, and sewer projects, with oversight minimal but instructions followed closely.

The starting base pay is $20.00–$23.50 per hour, with a sign-on bonus of $4,000 for CDL holders; on-the-job training is provided, and additional sign-on bonuses may be available for non-CDL hires.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Construction Laborer and/or Installation Technician highly preferred.
• Experience in the Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) industry is highly preferred.
• OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license required with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Must possess a Class A or B CDL and be aligned with Insituform's motor vehicle standards (Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required).
• Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools.
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Must be able to travel weekly (potentially out of state).

Responsibilities

• Repair various types of sewer lines using a specific product and process.
• Ensure pull-in tube is properly prepared for installation by examining D-rings, chains, and attachment to pulling cable.
• Install the prepared tube using a winch, backhoe, crane, or other appropriate material.
• Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Cure resin products using an inflation tube, banding boots, layflat, boiler hose, etc.
• Learn and train on Insituform's products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques, and equipment.
• Drive various vehicles (pickup trucks to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment.
• Perform set up and clean up tasks at job site or shop.
