Piper Companies is seeking a CIP Shakedown Shift Lead for a fully onsite contract in Holly Springs, NC. You will provide hands-on leadership during facility startup, supporting CIP readiness and guiding production personnel on a rotating 12-hour night schedule as operations move into commercial manufacturing.

Responsibilities include leading shakedown activities, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, validation, and manufacturing to ensure system reliability and GMP

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industrial production.
• Startup/shakedown experience supporting manufacturing processes or equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause investigation skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional groups during startup activities.

Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a CIP Shakedown Shift Lead to join a leading biologics manufacturing organization for a fully onsite contract position located in Holly Springs, NC. The CIP Shakedown Shift Lead will provide hands‑on leadership during facility startup activities, supporting CIP system readiness, troubleshooting operational challenges, and guiding production personnel during a rotating night shift schedule as the site transitions into commercial manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities for the CIP Shakedown Shift Lead:

• Lead startup, shakedown, and operational readiness activities for CIP systems and associated manufacturing equipment.
• Provide shift leadership for operators and technicians on a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, ensuring safe and efficient execution of daily activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment, process, and operational issues encountered during startup and early production campaigns.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, validation, and manufacturing teams to drive system reliability and support site readiness.
• Promote GMP compliance, strong shift‑to‑shift communication, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Qualifications for the CIP Shakedown Shift Lead:

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industrial production environment.
• Demonstrated startup and shakedown experience supporting manufacturing processes, utility systems, or production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause investigation skills in a fast‑paced operational setting.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with cross‑functional groups during facility startup activities.

Compensation for the CIP Shakedown Shift Lead:

Salary Range: $60-$75/hr (USD)

Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
