Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) for a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Wilson, NC. This 6 month, onsite, contract to hire role will oversee maintenance technicians and drive equipment reliability on a critical overnight production schedule.

The candidate will lead a team, coordinate preventive maintenance, and partner with operations to support shutdowns and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in industrial/pharma environments.
• Strong hands‑on troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical and process equipment.
• Experience coordinating preventive maintenance programs and shutdowns.
• Knowledge of GMP environments, maintenance planning and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, promoting collaboration and accountability.
• Assign daily work, preventive maintenance tasks and prioritize emergency repairs to keep operations ready.
• Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting for complex equipment and processes.
• Manage performance activities including scheduling, PTO, one‑on‑ones, hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Partner with operations, engineering and maintenance leadership to support shutdowns and continuous improvement projects.

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) to join a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a 6 month, onsite, contract to hire position based in Wilson, NC. The Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) will oversee a team of maintenance technicians supporting manufacturing operations while driving equipment reliability, employee development, and maintenance execution during a critical overnight production schedule.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) include:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
• Assign daily work activities, preventive maintenance tasks, and emergency repair priorities to ensure operational readiness.
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting assistance for complex equipment and process-related issues.
• Manage employee performance activities including scheduling, PTO approvals, one-on-one meetings, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance leadership to support shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) include:

• Previous maintenance leadership, lead technician, supervisor, or management experience within industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, and process equipment.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of GMP environments, maintenance planning, and safety compliance practices preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Compensation for the Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift):

Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000/year (USD)
