Job summary

• Coordinate consultants, contractors, inspectors, and other professionals to ensure contract compliance and city requirements.

Under general direction, the CIP Project Manager plans, coordinates, and manages municipal infrastructure projects involving water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, and parks. The position oversees assigned projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, closeout, and warranty to ensure completion within approved scope, schedule, and budget and in accordance with City standards, contract requirements, and applicable regulations. The position coordinates consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, utility providers, property owners, and City departments to support the effective delivery of the City’s capital improvement program.

• Manage assigned water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, park, and other infrastructure projects from initial planning through design, procurement, construction, closeout, and warranty to ensure projects meet established scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, work plans, milestones, and performance measures to support effective planning, resource allocation, and timely project completion.
• Coordinate and monitor the work of engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, inspectors, and other professional service providers to evaluate performance, resolve project issues, and ensure compliance with contracts, plans, specifications, and City requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, engineering reports, cost estimates, bid documents, submittals, pay applications, change-order requests, and other technical or contractual documents to verify accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
