Responsibilities include sanitation of warehouse areas, exterior plant cleanliness, chemical inventory management, and assisting in audits. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and involves operating required material handling equipment.

Qualifications

  • Basic reading and writing skills required.
  • Forklift certification required or can be trained.
  • Proven time management ability.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations.
  • Ability to work without constant supervision.

  • Follow master sanitation schedule and perform routine PMs.

  • Assist audits related to SQF and FDA systems.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with production and QA teams to meet cleanliness standards.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a CIP/COP (Clean in Place/Clean out of Place) Systems Associate to join our organization. The CIP/COP Systems Associate will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, titrate industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate CIP/COP programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with production Supervisor and the Liquid Lead to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and has no direct reports.

  • Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines
  • Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse, changing room, and staging areas
  • Conducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure the facilities and equipment are clean prior to start/stop of operations
  • Ensures the cleanliness the plant exterior (associate entrances, docks, dumpster areas, and QA/QC lab) and assuring trash in emptied on a timely basis
  • Manages the inventory of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools to ensure adequate
  • supplies are always available
  • Completes tasks and duties as outlined in the master sanitation schedule efficiently
  • Performs routine PM's on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly
  • Ensures ALL cleaning equipment (pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etc.) are properly
  • labeled
  • Assists and participates in internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems to help ensure compliance
  • Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Production and QA Supervisor
  • Routinely collaborates with co-workers to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant
  • Operate all required Material Handling Equipment

Qualifications
  • High School or GED.
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Forklift certification. (Can train)
  • Proven ability for time management
  • Ability to use a calculator and do simple mathematical calculations to ensure quality and service requirements
  • Ability to work without constant supervision
