Job summary

St. Olaf College seeks a Chief Information Officer to advance cybersecurity, data governance, and IT strategy in support of the college's liberal arts mission.

The CIO will evaluate institutional risks, set practical priorities for emergency preparedness and data protection, and lead information resources and libraries in service of teaching, research, and operations. The role requires comfort with faculty governance, effective budget and staff management, and collaboration with Carleton College

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in information technology with focus on cybersecurity and data governance.
• Experience evaluating institutional risks and setting priorities for emergency preparedness.
• Ability to work in a faculty governance environment while aligning IT with the college mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CIO division including enterprise IT and academic library services.
• Develop and execute a long-range IT strategy aligned with the college's 2024-2030 plan.
• Manage budget, staff, and partnerships with neighboring colleges and campuses.
• Collaborate with Carleton College to share IT services and resources.
