Job summary

St. Olaf College seeks a values-forward, innovative Chief Information Officer (CIO) to guide information technology and library resources in support of teaching, learning and research.

The CIO will oversee a team of 55 staff and nine direct reports, advising the president and provost on strategy and student success. The leader will advance cybersecurity, data governance, and preparedness while navigating faculty governance and collaboration with Carleton College.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding enterprise IT strategy across academic and library domains.
• Ability to advise senior leaders on information technology in strategy and student success.
• Proven leadership of large, diverse teams with strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise IT strategy and academic library leadership for teaching and research.
• Advance cybersecurity, data governance, emergency preparedness and data protection.
• Manage division budget, staff, and long‑range planning per the college strategy.
• Collaborate with Carleton College on shared information services and resources.
