BlockReel in Atlanta is seeking a seasoned A Cam Operator for an approximately 20-day feature film shoot in early November 2026. You will translate the DP's vision into compelling imagery on our primary camera package, with long days and some night shoots.

You should have extensive feature film or high-end episodic drama experience, a strong reel, and proficiency with Arri Alexa Mini LF. Meals, craft services, and local transport are provided; compensation ranges from $1,000 to $1,500 per day

Atlanta, GA based feature film shooting approximately 20 days in the first half of November 2026 seeks a seasoned A Cam Operator. This is an independent production, a character-driven dramatic thriller with some intense action sequences, focusing on psychological suspense. We need someone who can translate our DP's vision into compelling imagery while managing complex blocking and camera movements efficiently. You'll be responsible for operating the primary camera package, ensuring consistent visual quality, managing camera setups, and collaborating closely with the DP and 1st AC. Requirements include extensive experience operating on feature films or high-end episodic dramas, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating dynamic camera work, and proficiency with Arri camera systems (Alexa Mini LF). You should ideally have your own preferred operating accessories (head, handles, monitor), but the primary camera package will be provided. Expect long days, typically 10-12 hours, with some potential for night shoots. Meals, craft services, and local transportation to set will be provided. This is a paid position, $1000-1500/day depending on experience.
