Cinematographer & Editor, Creative Video
Role Overview
Collaborates within the Creative Video Department to execute high-quality cinematography and editing under the guidance of Senior Cinematographers, Managers, and Producers. Focuses on developing technical and creative skills while contributing to multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workscollaboratively withinthe Creative Video Department, taking direction and feedback from senior team members.
- Learnsand appliesfoundational skills in cinematography and editing, including camera operation, lighting, composition, and audio capture.
- Supportsmultiple projects efficiently, adhering todeadlinesandmaintaininghigh-quality standards.
- Adaptsto various project requirements and styles, actively learning new techniques to expand technical skills.
- Executesspecific tasks within larger projects,supportingthemain cinematography.
- Incorporatesfeedback from Producers, Senior Cinematographers, and Managers to refine work and meet creativeobjectives.
- Assistsin the creation of storyboards, shot lists, and pre-production documentation whenrequired.
- Participatesin post-production workflows, learning best practices for compression, encoding, and delivery.
- Contributestomaintainingand organizing department equipment and production resources.
- Engagesin continuous learning, attending workshops, tutorials, and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Documentsprocesses and lessons learned for future reference and training purposes.
- Collaborateswith Motion Graphics, Post-Production, and Event Presentation teams to integrate creative elements effectively.
- Observesandparticipatesin client or stakeholder interactions to understand expectations and creative decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, or Film or relevant work experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a live production or post-production environment.
- Fundamental knowledge and skills in cinematography, camera operation, lighting, and basic editing.
- Strong knowledge ofAdobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow technical and creative abilities.
- Adaptable to changing project requirements and styles.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and openness to experimentation.
- Stand on feet for long periods of times – bend, squat, lean, ability to carry equipment.
- Flexible work schedule, willing to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to travel 20-30%, depending on schedule.
