Job summary

The Dallas Cowboys seek a Sr. Cinematographer & Editor to lead high-level cinematography and editing across Creative Video projects. You will mentor junior team members, manage multiple projects and verticals, and ensure excellence in production and post-production workflows.

Responsibilities include camera operation, lighting, framing, audio capture, and staying at the forefront of industry tools and techniques. Occasional nights and travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, or Film or relevant work experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a live production or post-production environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise as an experienced cinematographer and editor with a robust portfolio showcasing camera operations, lighting, lens expertise, motion graphics, editing, color grading, and narrative storytelling.
  • Solid project management skills with experience leading multiple high-profile projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior creative team members.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Davinci Resolve.
  • Strong familiarity with video codecs, compression, transcoding, and delivery workflows.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of times - bend, squat, lean, ability to carry equipment.
  • Flexible work schedule, willing to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manages specific creative verticals or initiatives within the department, serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Mentors Cinematographers, Videographers, and Production Interns, providing guidance on technical skills, storytelling, and workflow best practices.
  • Proven ability to execute all phases of production at a high level, across an array of production deliverables.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots technical workflows for production and post-production.
  • Researches and implements emerging tools, techniques, and technologies to keep the department at the forefront of the industry.
  • Evaluates completed projects and provides insights for continuous improvement.
  • Educates internal stakeholders on cinematography and editing processes to ensure alignment and understanding of creative decisions.
  • Documents workflows, technical standards, and best practices for future reference and training.
  • Participates in location scouting, talent coordination, pre-production planning, and is client facing, as required.

Role Overview
