Job summary

MCD Global Health seeks a skilled data consultant to consolidate and modernize PALU and CIMS data platforms. The role focuses on Databricks modeling, CI/CD automation, and AWS alignment to reduce costs and streamline deployments.

The two-month pilot (Nov–Dec 2026) aims to validate workflows, establish reusable pipelines, and enable PALU staff to operate and extend the systems with minimal outside assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data warehouses and data modeling.
• Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical audiences.
• Experience with cost optimization and cloud resources.
• Ability to document configurations, tests, and results.

Responsibilities

• Assess Databricks against PALU's data warehouse needs and test with a representative data subset.
• Configure GitLab CI/CD pipelines for PALU processes and CIMS codebase automation.
• Review AWS account structure and costs; identify idle or oversized resources and propose optimizations.
• Provide maintenance and technical support; draft documentation for new systems and processes.
