MCD Inc. is seeking a consultant to consolidate PALU data systems and containerize the CIMS platform. The assignment covers Databricks assessment, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cost optimization, with a focus on building scalable, auditable data workflows for international health projects.

The consultant will work under the Digital Health Tools and Systems Lead, delivering a pilot from November to December 2026 and providing maintenance guidance for PALU and CIMS post-pilot.

Competenze

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or data engineering.
• Hands-on experience configuring GitLab CI/CD and AWS.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills; working knowledge of Python.

Mansioni

• Assess Databricks against PALU's data warehouse needs and compare with PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Set up a small Databricks data model using PALU data to estimate costs.
• Configure GitLab CI/CD pipelines for PALU and CIMS codebases.
• Prepare a cost-benefit analysis for MCD PALU including direct costs, staff time and risks.
• Draft plans for future projects addressing data governance and localization.
• Document configuration, tests and findings.
