Job summary

Blake's Beverage Co. is seeking a Cellar Technician in Michigan to ensure top-quality hard cider production. You will oversee cellar operations, maintain filtration and CIP systems, and lead by example with continuous process improvements.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, safety, and collaboration with Cellarmen, Supervisors, and Managers to meet daily production quotas and drive efficiency across the production facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry/trade magazines.
• Excellent knowledge of the industry and trends impacting the business.
• Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to do routine business math calculations including computation of costs and pricing.
• Excellent understanding of the principles of Production.
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.
• Must be able to lift at least 165 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to remain standing for an entire shift.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day cellar duties to meet production quotas.
• Maintain filtration systems and CIP systems for smooth production.
• Assist in run-down, blow-out, and clean cycles on filtration systems.
• Share knowledge to enable R&D and process improvements.
• Work as part of a team to produce high-volume, quality hard cider safely.
• Learn, understand and execute cellar operations per SOPs.
• Attend shifts in a timely manner as scheduled.
• Collaborate with Cellarmen, Supervisors, Managers, and other staff.
• Keep cellar areas clean and organized; prepare tanks for next day.
• Complete all paperwork with 100% accuracy.
• Meet daily production quotas and improve processes.
