Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a committed RN to join the CICU on a full-time, 0.9 FTE basis at Burnet Campus. The role operates a rotating shift with a 36-hour work week, emphasizing compliance, patient care, and collaborative decision-making within the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate or diploma RN with 2+ years of experience.
• If hired without a BSN/MSN, enrolled in BSN/MSN within 1 year and complete within 5 years.
• BSN or MSN preferred from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited programs is preferred.
• Active Ohio RN license; may require other state licensure.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMerit per Ohio requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Ensure safety, and monitor policies; fulfill certifications and Safety College requirements.
• Communicate safety concerns to leadership; collaborate to share best practices.
• Apply clinical judgment using protocols; document care plans and patient outcomes.
• Engage in interprofessional teamwork and shared decision-making at the unit level.
• Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive care into practice.
• Support ongoing performance review and professional development.
