Job summary

Elliot Health System is offering a December 2026 start for nursing students aiming to graduate within a year. This role provides an introduction to the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU) and helps transition into a New Graduate Nurse position.

The CICU handles cardiac telemetry with a 1:10 LNA-to-patient ratio and emphasizes bedside care, charting, and collaborative teamwork with RNs and the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current nursing student due to graduate in 1 year or less.
• Minimum of two years of current experience in an acute care setting.
• Current New Hampshire Nursing Assistant License required.
• BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Models Elliot Essentials behavior with patients, peers and all health care team.
• Performs or assists patients in activities of daily living.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care using basic growth and development knowledge.
• Reports observations and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care, and assists with selected tasks as appropriate.
• Documents in the medical record per policies and scope of practice.
• Follows infection prevention/universal precautions policies.
• Maintains confidentiality and patient privacy.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
