Job summary

Baptist Health’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) on the 3rd Floor provides intensive cardiac care for adults and geriatrics. Night shifts include three 12-hour shifts 7P-7A with every third weekend; BCLS and ACLS are required. New graduates welcome; sign-on bonus eligible for experienced CICU nurses.

The CN coordinates care across shifts, leads unit staff, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes within Kentucky Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license is required.
• Two years of relevant patient care experience required.
• BCLS and ACLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager with operational activities of unit.
• Assist Nurse Manager with management of patient care delivery on the unit.
• Demonstrates clinical proficiency utilizing the nursing process.
• Demonstrates organizational skills in providing patient care.
• Collaborates with the nurse manager to support performance improvement activities.
• Participates in development of nursing staff.
