Job summary

PTR Global in Chandler, AZ seeks a Mainframe CICS System Administrator to manage and optimize CICS Transaction Server environments across production, test, and disaster-recovery regions. You will work on IBM z/OS, perform installations, upgrades, and performance tuning while ensuring system reliability.

The role requires onsite work three days per week, strong troubleshooting skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, efficient mainframe services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CICS Transaction Server administration on IBM z/OS.
• CICS installation, upgrades and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of DFHSIT and CICS init parameters.
• Experience in performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze transaction response time, CPU usage and storage.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and tune CICS environments.
• Perform CICS installations, upgrades, PTFs, and maintenance.
• Configure CICS regions and system initialization parameters.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot response time and resources.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure reliability and efficiency.
