Job summary

KEMET Electronics Corporation in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a technician to assist within the Ceramics R&D Group. You will support development batches and reporting as part of the R&D product development line, helping engineers advance ceramic capacitors for EVs, AI servers, medical electronics, and space programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule batches of capacitors for processing across lab steps.
• Collect data from testing labs and record processing results.
• Conduct physical measurements and inspections as needed.
• Maintain accurate processing records in designated software.
• Support Development Team to troubleshoot during product cycles.
• Assist with quality improvement activities and teamwork.

Summary

YAGEO Group / KEMET Electronics is seeking a person to assist within the Ceramics R&D Group. This position involvestechnician support forprojectsthat R&Dengineers run forthe developmentof ceramic capacitors for electronic applications.KEMET’s ceramics R&D group develops ceramic capacitors for advanced applications in electric vehicles, AI servers, medicalelectronicsas well as military and space applications. This is a first shift position.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling batches of capacitors for processingthrough different process steps within the R&D product development line
• Collecting data from other teams within the process lab andtestinglab on the development batches as they are sent through thevariousprocessing steps
• Conducting physical measurements and inspections on capacitors, as needed
• Maintainaccuraterecordsof processing information manually or in designated software
• Working with Development Team toreport on and helptroubleshootthrough development cycles for new products
• Support quality improvement activities where applicable
• Function as a positive team leader/member

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma,Associate’s Degreein Technical fieldwould bea plus
• Experience in Manufacturingand/or Lab environment
• ProficientinMicrosoftWord, Excel, Power Point, & Teams
• Experiencewithelectrical and mechanical repairis a plus
• Ability to workwith minimal supervision, andas ateam member where needed
• Importantto be well organized and efficient at managing your time.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Must be able towork on your feet forextended periods of time
• Must be able tomove materials of weight 1 to 10 lbs.
