Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a Software Development Engineer to help build and operate the next generation CI/CD platform. You will own services that power Amazon's releases and help thousands of engineers deploy changes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of professional software development, strong design skills, and experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl. A Bachelor's degree is required; AWS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-impact problems that impede AWS software development.
• Decompose complex builder problems into simple, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with AWSBA, ASBX and AWS builder teams to build and operate the designed solutions.
• Deliver meaningful improvements weekly while working toward long-term transformation.
• Re-imagine how developers build and operate the software that underpins the world's largest cloud.
• Drive significant transformation across AWS engineering.
