Job summary

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs of parish buildings and grounds, under supervision of the Facilities Manager. The role includes routine repairs, setup for parish events, safety compliance and keeping records of work performed.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of relevant experience, be able to read work orders, work some weekends/evenings, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of comparable work experience.
• Ability to read and work from written work orders.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
• May involve some overtime; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and carpentry, plumbing, painting and other tasks.
• Respond to routine repair and service requests and keep a safe, clean work area.
• Maintain records of work performed and ensure coverage during time off.
• Clean up after parish events and assist with setup for events and meetings.
