Job summary

St. Joseph Catholic Church is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle grounds care, light building maintenance, and janitorial tasks for the parish and cemetery grounds. The position follows a 5-day workweek, not exceeding 40 hours, with occasional night and weekend hours.

Responsibilities include mowing, cleaning, minor repairs, and assisting with event setup. The role requires physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, plus availability for evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and basic repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds in a clean and safe condition.
• Mow, edge, weed, mulch, trim trees, plant beds, remove debris.
• Clean floors and restrooms; wash windows and keep parish buildings orderly.
• Perform minor maintenance: painting, replacing light bulbs and AC filters, light carpentry, trash removal.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and dance floor for events.
• Assist with removing trash after events as needed.
• Work in cemetery grounds as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
