Job summary

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator in Pittsford for 25 hours per week. The role supports the Regional Buildings and Grounds Manager in ensuring safe, efficient operation of church facilities, grounds, and systems.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, fire alarm and security system tasks, light-duty repairs, and vendor coordination. Flexibility for alarms, weather events, and after-hours readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Good organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize job tasks.
• Work ethics and teamwork to include the ability to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers and staff.
• Ability to be available for after hour or emergency calls.
• Demonstrated ability to carry out maintenance and repair duties in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform light to medium maintenance and repairs under RBGM supervision.
• Monitor electrical system: lights, timers, and fixtures; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Monitor plumbing: faucets, drains, sinks, toilets; coordinate with RBGM and vendors.
• Monitor heating/cooling: thermostats and timers; assist with inspections and maintenance.
• Be the initial contact for the security system; coordinate with vendors for inspections and safety.
