Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order across church and campus facilities, supporting worship and ministry activities. The role requires reliability, Christian stewardship, and collaboration with parish staff and the Facilities Director.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, with responsibilities including room setups, routine cleaning, and adherence to safety protocols in a religious environment.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work safely on ladders/scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• M mop, sweep, and maintain all church floors and entryways.
• Clean and polish windows and glass surfaces to maintain a bright appearance.
• Drain, clean, and sanitize the Baptismal Font for use.
• Set up rooms for services and events as needed by Facilities Director.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow safety and cleaning protocols to maintain a healthy environment.
