Job summary

NYC Health and Hospitals is seeking a Head Nurse-Chronic for Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx. The role directs nursing regimens, evaluates patient care, and leads an interdisciplinary care team.

Requires a valid New York State RN license and prior Head Nurse experience is preferred. Full-time daytime schedule with comprehensive benefits and education differential opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license is required.
• Experience as Head Nurse preferred for leadership of nursing regimens.
• Ability to lead, supervise and develop nursing plans and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct the development and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
• Identify physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop and evaluate nursing plans for assigned patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
• Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan care programs.
• Provide teaching and direction to nursing staff.
• Maintain nursing practice standards and staff development.
