Aerotek is seeking a Production Helper in Portland, OR to support chrome plating operations in a large manufacturing environment. You will prepare, process, and move metal parts through the line, operate robots, handle chemicals, and perform quality inspections while recording work.

This first-shift contract-to-hire role emphasizes safety, reliability, and the ability to work in a loud, fast-paced setting with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Interest in manufacturing, production, or general labor.
• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist chrome plating operations throughout the production line.
• Place metal parts on racks for chemical preparation.
• Operate robots and equipment to apply chrome finishes.
• Remove finished parts and transport to next department.
• Use bead blasting machines to prep parts.
• Inspect parts for quality and safety compliance.
• Use a computer to track work and maintain records.
• Work safely around chemicals and follow safety protocols.
• Perform lifting and moving of metal parts and racks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and SOP adherence.
