Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a Chrome Line Specialist (1st Shift) to operate and maintain chrome plating equipment, prepare parts for plating, and ensure adherence to drawings, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

You will work with production teams to maintain high output and defect-free finishes. The role requires at least one year of chrome plating experience, knowledge of plating thickness measurement, and the ability to handle hazardous materials safely.

Qualifications

• At least one year in chrome plating or related metal finishing roles.
• Knowledge of chrome plating, anodizing, polishing, and plating thickness measurement.
• Ability to operate and maintain plating equipment and tanks.
• Proficiency in handling hazardous materials and following safety guidelines.
• Strong focus on quality and precision in workmanship.
• Capacity to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, polish, and buff parts before plating to ensure adhesion and finish quality.
• Plating Operations: Operate and maintain chrome plating tanks, mix and prepare plating solutions, and apply chrome by immersion, electroplating, or spray methods.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects, measure plating thickness, and adjust as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on plating equipment and tanks.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals and machinery.
• Documentation: Record plating processes, results, and defects for traceability.
• Team Support: Assist in loading/unloading parts, racking, packing, labeling finished products.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate to refine techniques and improve efficiency.
