Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. is seeking an Aerospace Chrome Assistant for the 1st shift in Kent, WA.

This on-site role supports chrome finishing operations by preparing parts for plating, following instructions from Plating Operators and ensuring quality through operator self-verification.FAA/DOT testing requirements apply, and the position includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications

• Must have regular and dependable attendance.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and hearing protection.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; export license may be required in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Plating Operators to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Plating Operators.
• Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
• Sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
• Review paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection to ensure all steps were completed; notify supervisor and QA of any errors.
• Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements and rework procedures.
• Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Familiar with safety precautions and how to avoid injury to personnel.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive productivity, delivery, and service; participate in Kaizen events as needed.
• Maintain high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
