Job summary

The Head Coach position at Fredericksburg Christian School supports the mission by planning, organizing, and directing the Varsity program for the assigned sport, while overseeing JV and Middle School programs with a Christian worldview and strong coaching expertise. Reports to the Director of Athletic Ministries.

Responsibilities include coordinating coaching staff, organizing workouts and camps, managing uniforms, and submitting rosters and scores.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian with a close personal walk and Christian character.
• Previous head coaching experience at high school or club level preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Varsity program for the assigned sport.
• Oversee Junior Varsity and Middle School programs and coaches.
• Work with Athletic Ministries to manage uniforms and equipment.
• Organize off-season and preseason workouts or camps with approval.
• Submit rosters after tryouts and report scores as required.
• Attend end-of-year awards and coordinate with staff.
