Job summary

Fredericksburg Christian School is seeking a Head Coach to lead the Varsity program with a strong Christian worldview. You will oversee JV and Middle School coaching staff, organize off-season workouts, and manage equipment and uniforms while upholding school values.

The role requires experience in high school coaching, a commitment to Christian education, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord.
• Regular in attendance at an evangelical church.
• Commitment to a Biblical lifestyle.
• If married, a solid commitment based on Mark 10:9.
• Strong commitment to Christian education.
• Previous head coaching experience at the high school or club level preferred.
• Playing experience required (if assistant coach, this is preferred, not required).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive environment.
• Working knowledge about athletic program regulations.
• Teachable, servant spirit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Varsity program for your assigned team.
• Oversee the JV and Middle School programs and coaches.
• Maintain inventory of uniforms and equipment.
• Organize off-season and preseason workouts and summer camps.
• Attend all required meetings and communicate with the Athletic Ministries Director.
• Submit rosters after tryouts and report game scores.
• Supervise student-athletes at practices and games.
• Ensure proper attire during games and practices.
