Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

The position involves completing substitute teacher training and teaching LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, implementing LifeWise curricula, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom following LifeWise

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
