Acquire4Hire is seeking a Lead Teacher in Chesapeake, VA to shape the lives of children in a faith-based, family-oriented center. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with an emphasis on safety, education, and positive guidance for littles.

You will plan activities, supervise, assist with homework, and communicate progress to parents while maintaining engaging routines and coordinating staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college credits in education or child development preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Pass a state background check, health screening and drug screening
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• High energy and the ability to work well with others and foster a team environment
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead fun, educational, and recreational daily activities
• Supervise children and ensure a safe environment at all times
• Help students with homework
• Communicate daily with parents about student progress and events
• Manage classroom routines and guide positive student behavior
• Coordinate program supplies, schedules, and assistant staff
