Job summary

HOPE Christian Schools, Milwaukee, seeks a 3rd–5th Grade Teacher. You will lead instruction, develop plans, and support scholars' academic and character growth within a faith-based program.

The role requires strong classroom management, urban teaching experience, and alignment with our Statement of Faith. Collaboration with families and participation in after-hours activities are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Valid Wisconsin teaching credential preferred or willingness to attain one.
• Minimum of 12 education teaching credits after 3 years.
• 1–3 years teaching experience; urban experience a plus.
• Experience with students and families in low-income urban communities is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily instruction plans as part of long-range goals.
• Employ differentiated, research-based instructional strategies for engagement.
• Conduct interim assessments, track progress, and analyze data for mastery.
• Actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and events.
• Teach or supervise educational or extracurricular activities after hours.
• Assist with scholar recruitment efforts as needed.
• Live as a biblical role model and Open Sky Education representative.
• Comply with Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith; engage in faith life with scholars.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.
