Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Meets state minimum standards for Early Childhood Assistant Teacher.
• Experience in a licensed child care facility preferred but not required.
• Alignment with Lionheart’s mission and values.
• Criminal background check required.
• Teamwork and collaboration with staff and leadership.
• Effective communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily activities supporting spiritual, social, emotional, and academic development.
• Supervise children by sight and sound per licensing ratios; perform health checks.
• Keep a safe, clean learning environment; follow sanitation and Safe Sleep practices.
• Use diverse instructional strategies to meet learning needs.
• Track attendance and developmental milestones; maintain routines.
• Engage families with regular updates on progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and floaters to ensure smooth operations.
