Job summary

Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, TN is seeking Kitchen Staff to support daily cafeteria operations and meal service in a Christ-centered environment. You will assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving, while upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.

In this role you will work under the Director of Food Services, ensuring meals are served warmly and efficiently to students and staff, and you will participate in maintaining safe food handling and storage practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and presentation according to menus and procedures.
• Set up serving lines and food stations prior to meal service.
• Serve meals to students, faculty, staff, and guests in a courteous manner.
• Maintain food handling, storage, and temperature controls per health regulations.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, prep areas, serving stations, dining areas, and storage areas.
• Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and stocking cafeteria supplies.
• Follow sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards; work as part of a fast-paced team.
