Job summary

Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe seeks a transportation specialist to provide Para-Transit services for tribal members in need of specialty care. You will escort patients between sites and offer individualized assistance as required, in line with the Wellness Center Transportation Policy.

Must be 21+, capable of driving a GSA vehicle, and compliant with state traffic rules. Flexibility to work evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends is needed, with willingness to attend required trainings and

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to safely transport passengers and drive a GSA vehicle.
• Ability to write reports and complete forms clearly and concisely.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to maintain a driving record with no moving violations.
• Knowledge of traffic codes and road rules in Washington state.
• Knowledge of safe operation of a motor vehicle.
• Sensitivity in interacting with seniors and disabled patients.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Willingness to attend trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for medical, dental and behavioral health care for tribal members without other means of transportation.
• Escort patients between sites and provide individualized assistance as required.
• Perform duties in accordance with Shoalwater Bay Wellness Center Transportation Policy.

CHR Transport:

Provide transportation for specialty care: (Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health) for Tribal members who have no other means of transportation in accordance to Shoalwater Bay Wellness Center Transportation Policy. Escorts patients between sites and provides individualized assistance/accommodation required by the individual’s situation.

Para-Transit Contract: (Medicaid Eligible)

Provide specialty care transportation for Shoalwater Bay Wellness Center patients (Native and Non Native) residing in Pacific County and Grays Harbor county. Escorts patients between sites and provides individualized assistance/accommodation required by the individual’s situation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
