Job summary

The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a passionate choral educator to lead middle and upper school ensembles (grades 6–12). You will develop engaging curriculum, coach vocal technique, and direct concerts and school productions throughout the year.

You will collaborate with Fine Arts faculty, support assemblies and recruitment through performances, and foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom that emphasizes artistic excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelorfers degree in music, Music Education, Choral Conducting, or related field.
• Experience teaching choral music to middle and/or upper school students preferred.
• Strong conducting, vocal pedagogy, and classroom management skills.
• Piano proficiency and ability to support rehearsals musically.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to student growth, artistic excellence, and the mission of The Bolles School.

Responsibilities

• Teach and conduct middle and upper school choral ensembles for grades 6–12
• Develop engaging curriculum focused on vocal technique, music literacy, and performance skills
• Direct concerts, performances, and special events throughout the school year
• Select developmentally appropriate and inclusive choral repertoire
• Serve as Musical Director for school productions
• Support school assemblies and special events as needed
• Collaborate with Fine Arts faculty and participate fully in school life
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Partner with Admissions to support recruitment and enrollment efforts through performances, events, and community engagement
