Uncle Gs Management Corp. in Town of Hempstead, NY is seeking a Salad Bar Lead to oversee daily salad bar operations and assist customers with order preparation.

You will chop ingredients, assemble salads, and mix dressings while ensuring a clean workstation and strict adherence to food safety policies. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and basic knife skills in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience using kitchen knives and commercial cutting machines
• Must understand and follow policies regarding safety in the kitchen and safe handling of food
• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• Must be a team player and self-motivated

Responsabilidades

• Prepares salads and salad items in a large bowl, chopping for a final product to present to the customer
• Mixes ingredients with dressing as desired by the customer
• Ensures a clean working station before and after each customer

• Other duties and functions as assigned

Our Salad Bar Leads are responsible for preparing fresh salads for walk up counter customers. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the salad bar operations, taking orders from customers and making the desired salad menu item. This will include placing all items selected by the customer into large bowl and chopping them while the customer waits for the finished product.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the operations of the salad bar and scheduled employee tasks
2. Prepares salads and salad items in a large bowl, chopping for a final product to present to the customer
3. Mixes ingredients with dressing as desired by the customer
4. Ensures a clean working station before and after each customer
5. Practices a safe serving area by adhering to all of our food handling polices
6. Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

1. HS graduate or equivalent
2. Must have experience using kitchen knives and commercial cutting machines
3. Must understand and follow our policies and procedures regarding safety in the kitchen and safe handling practices for food
4. Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
5. Must be a team player and self motivated
