Northside Hospital Inc. invites a Medical Technologist to join the Choice+ Local Program in the Atlanta area. The role involves developing and monitoring test systems, performing laboratory tests, and delivering accurate results to support patient care.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, a relevant degree, and be eligible for certification with ASCP/NCA/AMT/AAB or HHS (HEW). The program covers multiple locations and requires availability for 7a–7p shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology with certification as Medical Technologist/ MLS/ CLS.
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science with certification as Medical Technologist/ MLS/ CLS.
• Color-acuity screening test may be required prior to duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor test systems and perform laboratory tests for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Interpret laboratory results to support diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist for Northside Hospital’s Choice+ Local Program develops and monitors test systems, and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

• Associate's degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

• Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Personnel must submit to a color-acuity screening test prior to performing duties

PREFERRED

• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must meet competency level requirements for the Choice+ Local Program.
