Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking a Service Employee to support chocolate production, packaging, and inspection in a fast-paced plant. You will help maintain quality, follow GMP practices, and participate in cross-functional safety training.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, inspecting product, moving items to pallets, and keeping records. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and lift overhead.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of shift.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to company standards and guidelines.
• Inspects, receives, delivers, secures, and maintains product per Russell Stover Chocolates guidelines.
• Inspects finished candy as it exits cooling tunnels; transfers candy from conveyor belt to trays and places trays in steels.
• Monitors candy weight, seals and secures boxes, and transfers to pallets.
• Maintains records, delivers, inspects, and performs all activities required of other members of the area, line or team.
• Performs clean-up activities as assigned.
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
• Completes and follows FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
• Promptly reports and takes appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
• Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
