Chinle, AZ / IHS / Operating Room Registered Nurse

Join Prime Physicians as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Chinle, AZ. This role offers flexibility for short-term (13 weeks) or long-term (1-3 years) assignments, starting August 1, 2024.

Job Details

• Location: Chinle, AZ 86503
• Shift Schedule: 80 hours/2 weeks, with weeknight on-call (3:30 pm - 7:00 am), weekend and holiday on-call required.
• Compensation: Overtime, holiday, and on-call pay at 1.0 multiple.

Responsibilities

1. Assess health status of elective and emergency surgery patients through physical assessments, interviews, and review of medical history.
2. Document observations, interventions, monitoring data, and other relevant information.
3. Administer prescribed therapeutic measures including medications, IV fluids, blood transfusions, and oxygen therapy.
4. Collaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams for pre-operative planning and assessment.
5. Provide perioperative care during after-hours urgent/emergent surgeries, including call coverage for operating and recovery rooms.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or ASN
• License: Valid, unrestricted RN license in the US or its territories.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS, TNCC, NRP preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in the specialty.
