Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurses Med/Surg

Location: Chinle, AZ

Start date: Jan 2025

Duration: 1 year (options for 26 weeks or full-time)

Shift times: 7 shifts/2-week period, days and nights, 12 hours

Minimum Qualifications

• License: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA) mandatory
• Experience: At least 3 years of recent nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in Med-Surg/Acute Care
• References: 3 current supervisory professional references

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adult patients in the Adult Care Unit (ACU) using the nursing process for goal-oriented outcomes.
• Apply extensive knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, including disease processes, medications, and psychosocial principles to meet patients’ diverse needs.
• Monitor medication administration, ensuring understanding of dosages, effects, side effects, and potential complications.
• Interpret medical procedure results to determine and implement necessary nursing interventions.
• Work effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and families to foster a supportive care environment.
• Use the CCHCF Electronic Health Record system for accurate patient documentation and information retrieval.
• Oversee unit assignments based on patient acuity, manage narcotic inventory, and perform timely checks and logs.
