Job summary

NSA seeks Linguists (MDLAs) to analyze, transcribe, translate, and contextualize foreign language materials within the SIGINT mission. Opportunities include LADP or direct-hire paths, with rotations across offices and formal training.

Candidates should have ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening, a degree in any field, and relevant experience. Expect a rigorous, mission-driven role with strong analytic and communication requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in any field acceptable.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• Minimum ILR level 2/2 reading and listening in target language.
• Entry/Developmental or Full Performance pathways with/without related experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate and provide language insights for intelligence materials.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to support SIGINT goals.
• Synthesize information across sources to address analytic problems.
• Mentor and collaborate with other analysts and researchers.
• Ensure timely, accurate written and oral assessments for policymakers.
• Work independently and with teams across NSA and IC partners.
