Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA seeks an experienced HVAC technician for on-site maintenance of central plant equipment, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems. You will perform testing, start-ups, and commissioning to ensure reliable operation.

A strong candidate has 5+ years journeyman experience, EPA certification, and the ability to work emergency on-call shifts. You will collaborate with the Chiller Field Supervisor and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years journeyman experience in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• EPA certified and able to work on chiller systems.
• Knowledge of chillers, HVAC, and central plants for large tonnage facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and related equipment.
• Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Familiar with rigging and site safety.
• Perform end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety policies.
