Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and complete a range of HVAC service projects for commercial customers. You will communicate clearly with customers, ACS colleagues, and supervisors while performing duties with minimal on-site oversight and a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities include documenting daily activities, assisting training, and developing lead referrals for the sales staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and HVAC program of 2+ years.
• 1+ years experience as a commercial service or installation technician.
• Ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and communicate with commercial customers and ACS employees.
• Current CA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and accurately complete HVAC jobs for commercial customers.
• Clearly communicate with customers, ACS technicians, Service Supervisors, the Service Manager, Dispatcher and Parts Runners.
• Perform routine HVAC service activities with minimal supervision.
• Report job activities daily to sponsors (written or verbal).
• Assist Training Coordinator in training ACS employees on service-related topics.
• Adhere to company safety standards and all applicable laws; participate in safety meetings.
• Develop lead referrals for the sales staff.

Customer-based activities involved in this position require an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and who possesses initiative and the ability to communicate well with all customer groups.Responsibilities:A Service Technician must be able to accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and American Chiller Service.To clearly communicate both verbally and written with service customers, other ACS technicians, the Service Supervisors, the Service Manager, Dispatcher and the Parts Runners.Performing routine HVAC service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.Reporting job activities on daily basis to job sponsors. Attend company safety meetings and trainings as requested.undefinedPerform duties in a safe manner observing safe procedures while constantly alert to any unsafe working conditions.Developing lead referrals for the sales staff.Performing related duties as directed by the Service Supervisor.Job Qualifications:High school graduate and graduate of a post-secondary HVAC program of instruction of two or more years in duration.One or more years of successful experience, either as a commercial service or installation technician.Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with commercial customers, suppliers, and other ACS employees.Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions found in CA. To include driving to and from customer locations (up to 2 hours one way), use of ladder on daily basis, lifting of items up to 50 pounds, bending, and rigging of heavy equipment.Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing his or her HVAC skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.Current CA drivers license.
