Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a PCB Designer to design, test and sustain PCBAs and chiller control panels. The role is onsite at our Advanced Engineering and Development Center in New Freedom, PA, with relocation possible for qualified candidates.

You will design analog and digital interfaces, perform reliability analyses, and ensure approvals (UL/CE/FCC) while collaborating with the chiller Controls Engineering team to deliver robust electronic solutions.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with printed circuit board assembly design schematic, layout and signal integrity tools based on Altium.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PCB design and related engineering tasks.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electronic hardware for chiller control.
• Design analog and digital interface circuits and power supplies.
• Perform worst case circuit analysis and reliability considerations.
• Assist the chiller team to develop, test and support chiller system controls.
• Design and maintain PCBAs using Altium Designer for schematic and layout.
• Create chiller control panels including enclosure, connectors, cable/harness, and HMI.
• Obtain UL, CE and FCC approvals for PCBs and panels.
• Conduct cost analyses for feasibility of new designs or changes.
• Develop project schedules and meet milestones.
• Integrate new processes across electronic development stages.
• Provide guidance to drafters and manufacturing on panel products.
• Ensure adherence to quality policies and customer satisfaction.
