Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to maintain and repair central plant equipment, with a focus on large chillers and complex HVAC systems. You will work with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities and ensure high standards of service.

The role requires on-call availability, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety. Prior experience with centrifugal chillers and rigging is a plus, and EPA certification is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years journeyman level work experience with technical schooling.
• Commercial/industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of chiller, HVAC, and central plants.
• HVAC large tonnage field knowledge required.
• EPA certification and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Prepare for emergency service calls on a rotation basis.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on chillers and cooling systems.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and attend monthly safety meetings.
• Coordinate with Chiller Field Supervisor on opportunities or issues.
