Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc is seeking a part-time Childwatch Group Leader in Hinesville, GA to care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. You will supervise activities, ensure safety, and support both physical and emotional needs while maintaining clean and organized spaces.

Responsibilities include attendance, sign-in/out procedures, and collaboration with staff during staff meetings. CPR/First Aid and mandated reporter training are required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise groups of young children.
• Must pass a criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children under Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact positively with members and their children.
• Ensure the safety of children in the program area and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Record attendance and communicate pertinent information to parents; manage sign-in/out.
• Provide for physical needs: feeding, snacks, restroom assistance, first aid, diaper changes.
• Support emotional needs: soothing distressed children and giving positive feedback.
• Prepare program areas to ensure safety, cleanliness and organization.
• Attend staff meetings and meet training hour requirements.
