Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a Residential Team Leader to oversee a children’s home, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding. You will lead a team of Residential Support Workers, manage daily operations, and uphold regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach. You will develop individual care plans, supervise staff, and liaise with families and external agencies to support vulnerable children.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or leadership role within children’s residential services.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Residential Support Workers.
• Ensure the home complies with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Promote a child-centred approach focusing on welfare, development, and safety.
• Support children in achieving personal goals and developing life skills.
• Oversee planning and delivery of individual care plans.
• Manage staff rotas and maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals and training for the team.
• Handle safeguarding concerns and ensure incidents are recorded and reported.
• Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
